We got a little bad news yesterday.
Gina has a small tumor in her liver. It’s right on the edge of where they did the radiation treatment.
Not the news we were hoping for, but we’re grateful for the seven-month stretch with no evidence of disease, and that Gina still feels really good.
A couple years ago, a reoccurrence would have felt crushing, but yesterday felt more frustrating than life shattering. We’ve got a good plan on how to move forward, and it doesn’t involve chemo, so there’s that.
We’ll be heading back to MSK in July for a week to have the tumor removed via ablation. (Treatment should fit nicely between a family vacation in Norway and Lollapalooza. 🙃)
Thank you all for your love, support, and stars.
