It wasn't the news we were hoping to get, and we're pretty sad tonight.
We’re trying to remind ourselves that it could have been worse: the little spot only got a little bigger, and there weren't any new ones. And going to Hawaii was a real good call.
Her oncologist wants her to restart chemo on Monday—she’s hoping that her team may be able to remove the new tumor with ablation sometime in the next few weeks. If so, Gina may be able to do fewer doses of chemo this time around.
But it still feels crushing to know that the cancer keeps coming back—and that Gina will need to resume treatment with all its ugly side effects.
Thank you for all your support—and for sticking with us for another round.
